Darktable 5.2 Open-Source RAW Image Editor Released

Powerful, open-source, free, and cross-platform image editing software Darktable is now updated to the version 5.2. Now you can find the support for OM System 14-bit high-resolution ORFs along with the updates the crop on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Fujifilm FinePix X100, and Samsung EX1 cameras.

The following is a summary of the main features added to darktable  5.2:

  • Fixed sidecar writing if quitting from darkroom.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed NULL pointer dereference in tethering mode
  • Improved visibility of masks in darkroom. This is controlled by the
    new hidden “darkroom/ui/develop_mask_mix” configuration option.
  • Added a tag icon on thumbnails to display the list of attached tags
    when hovering over it.
  • Sigmoid module is now the default tone-mapper selected for new
    installation.
