How To Upgrade Linux Mint 21.1 to Linux Mint 21.2
Linux Mint 21.2 is now available for the download. Based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Linux Mint 21.2 is a long term support release and it will be supported until 2027. Linux Mint 21.2 is powered by Linux mainline LTS Kernel 5.15. Along with this, Touchpad and touchscreen gesture support is also available in Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon 5.8.
In this tutorial post, we will show you the easy way to upgrade to Linux Mint 21.2 from Linux Mint 21.1. Before upgrading you need to make sure that your important files are in safe backup state.
How To Upgrade Linux Mint 21.1 to Linux Mint 21.2
- Open the Update Manager utility from the applications menu and run the updates if there are any.
- Once your system is up to date, you will also need to also update the Update Manager app.
- Go to the Edit menu and there you might see a message “Upgrade to “Linux Mint 21.2 Victoria”.” Click it to open the upgrade window.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to start the upgrade process.
- Wait for a while to complete the process.
- Once all the packages have been downloaded and installed, Your Linux Mint 21.2 will be upgraded to Linux Mint 21.2.
- Now you need to reboot your PC to enjoy the latest version of Linux Mint 21.2
