Edubuntu 23.04 Released, Back To The Business With New Version
Edubuntu is an operating system that is open-source, free, and based on the Ubuntu Linux distribution. It was created with education in mind. To make technology and digital education accessible to everyone, Canonical Ltd, the company that developed Ubuntu, initially released it in 2005.
You can some popular educational tools pre-installed on Edubuntu such as educational programs, resources, and games geared toward kids in preschool through high school. You can also find software for teaching programming, mathematics, language acquisition, and multimedia production are among these applications. LTSP or Linux Terminal Server Project is one of Edubuntu’s amazing features.
Despite being one of the promising Ubuntu flavors in the education niche, it was abandoned by its developer. Now, Edubuntu is trying to gain the lost market with Edubuntu 23.04. Edubuntu 23.04 will be supported for nine months until January 2024. The last Edubuntu release was based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Edubuntu 23.04 comes up with Edubuntu Installer, which lets you configure your desktop or laptop for a certain age group, whether that be Preschool, Primary (Elementary), Secondary (Middle/High School), or Tertiary (College/University).
Edubuntu 23.04 will be powered by Linux Kernel 6.2.
